The Collider Foundation is a 501(c)3 dedicated to building to build an inclusive and healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem in Rochester, Minnesota by facilitating connections, education, and storytelling that surrounds and supports Rochester’s entrepreneurs.



Everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and have a seat at our entrepreneurial table.



Creating an economically diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem starts with access to educational opportunities.



Creating more opportunities for collisions in our community leads to connections and understanding.



Promoting of our entrepreneurial successes to the world will help to draw more people and interest to our ecosystem, thereby creating more opportunities for our entrepreneurs.

1 Million Cups Rochester

Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012—a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs around the country. Through the power of volunteers, 1 Million Cups has grown to more than 180 communities.


Startup Weekend Rochester

Startup Weekend is a 54-hour weekend event, during which groups of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and more pitch ideas for new startup companies, form teams around those ideas, and work to develop a working prototype, demo, or presentation by Sunday evening.


Global Entrepreneurship Week Rochester

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.


Walleye Tank

Walleye Tank is a Minnesota based life science pitch competition which provides an educational opportunity for emerging and established medical and life science companies.


Kauffman FastTrac Program

Kauffman FastTrac equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the business skills and insights, tools, resources, and peer networks necessary to start and grow successful businesses.

Kauffman FastTrac® was launched by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and carries out Mr. K’s belief that everyone has a fundamental right to turn an idea into an economic reality, regardless of who you are or where you’re from, with zero barriers in the way.
